A Pastor Had A Kitten Climb Up A Tree In His Backyard
The Kitten Was Scared And Afraid To Come Down
The Pastor Coaxed And Called To Him
He Offered The Kitten Warm Milk He Tried Everything That He Could
The Kitten Still Would Not Come Down
The Pastor Knew That The Tree Was Not Sturdy Enough For Him To Climb
So The Pastor Decided To Tie A Rope To His Car And Attach It To The Tree
He Figured That When He Drove Away The Tree Would Bend Down
Then He Would Be Able To Reach Up And Get The Kitten
He Put His Plan Into Action
He Checked His Progress From The Car Frequently
He Figured That He Would Go Just A Little Bit Further
Then The Tree Would Bend Sufficiently For Him To Reach The Kitten
But As He Moved A Little Further Forward, The Rope Broke
The Tree Went "Boing!"
The Kitten Instantly Sailed Through The Air And Disappeared From Sight
The Pastor Felt Terrible
He Walked All Over The Neighborhood
He Asked Everyone That He Saw If They'd Seen A Little Kitten
No They All Answered
Nobody Had Seen A Stray Kitten
So He Prayed
"Lord"
"I Just Commit This Kitten To Your Safe Keeping"
He Then Went On About His Business
A Few Days Later He Was At The Grocery Store
He Ran Into One Of His Own Church Members
He Happened To Look Into Her Shopping Cart
He Was Amazed To That She Had Cat Food
Now This Woman Was A Cat Hater And Everyone Knew It
So He Asked Her
"Why Are You Buying Cat Food When You Hate Cats So Much?"
She Replied
"You Are Not Going To Believe This"
She Told Him How Her Little Girl Had Been Begging Her For A Cat
But She Kept Refusing To Get Her One
Yesterday And Today, The Child Had Begged Her Over And Over Again
So She Finally Told Her Little Girl
"Well If God Gives You A Cat
Then I Will Let You Keep It!"
She Told The Pastor
I Watched My Child Go Out In The Yard
She Got Down On Her Knees And She Prayed To God For A Cat
And Really Pastor
You Won't Believe This
But I Saw It With My Own Two Eyes
A Kitten Suddenly Came Flying Out Of The Blue Sky
Its Paws Were Outspread And It Landed Right In Front Of Her
